Facebook Application Development
On December 14th 2009 J3 Media, a Las Vegas based website design and development company entered the world of social media applications with its first Facebook game.
This is our first foray into building applications for social networking sites, as we have primarily been marketing professionals, web designers and website developers. For Facebook, the app is called "What's This From? Movie Quotes." To build the game for Facebook you must use their language, called FBML. It's slightly different than traditional html programming and you must adhere to their strict regulations. Now that we have successfully mastered the art of Facebook app development, J3 Media can offer this service to our clients.
"What's This From? Movie Quotes" is the first in what will be a series is of other games in the "What's This From?" family. The object of the game is to guess the movie title that the provided quote matches up with. You are able to publish your correct or wrong answer on your profile page, which will also be included in that day's news feed. Players can watch how their friends and family do by visiting the leader board. You are also awarded a virtual trophy for top players. The more you play the better your ranking and you can compete against family and friends to see who has the most movie knowledge.
